I’m delighted that some images I captured of the fabulous Leeds Aerial Arts are now live on their website. It was a pleasure to shoot and great fun trying to work out how to showcase the amazing aerialists whilst they hung upside down!
If you think I can help you capture your business – upside or otherwise – do give me a call!
I’ve just had a fantastic trip to Croatia starting in Dubrovnik. If you get the chance to visit I’d really recommend it – what a city! I thought I’d share a few of my favourite city-scape images on the website (click here to visit the Portfolio). What was challenging was trying to find a few moments of quiet in a city that’s pretty full of people! An early start and a walk on the walls helped orientate us and I think made for some interesting perspectives.
I hope you enjoy the images, as ever I love to hear your feedback.
I’m really enjoying getting involved in event photography and it’s been a busy summer. I spent a few hours this weekend supporting WaterAid, who I’ve been involved with for a very long time. This brilliant charity enable people in developing countries to gain access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene eduction.
The WaterAid in Yorkshire team organised what I’m told was a pretty gruelling 10km run around the lovely Scammonden Reservoir in West Yorkshire – that’s the one that you drive over the dam of as you head over the M62 to Manchester!
It was a challenging shoot with a few narrow paths, 130+runners, some dog walkers, rain and a couple of lens changes. I really enjoy event photography but you’ve got to be awake (not easy on a Sunday at 9.00) with so many changing factors!
I’ve put a selection of images on the Portfolio section of the site but a couple of my faves are below. Feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss your event.
Well it’s been a busy week photography-wise with two lovely photo shoots to do and a fantastic webinar to brush up on my editing skills with the excellent David Clapp. You can find out more about David here through his website.
After a long day I’m pleased with the outputs from two totally different – and equally challenging shoots! No children but certainly a few animals with a morning spent with the Donkey Sanctuary Leeds and their Summer Fair. Then an evening indoors with Leeds Aerial Arts dropping into one of their classes. I’ve enjoyed* the challenges that the really varied light on both of these brought, along with learning to use my new flash and lightbox. More to follow on both of those I suspect!
You can see a few pics from each in the Portfolio section of my website but I’ll pop a couple of faves below. Thanks for stopping by…
I was delighted to run a quick test shoot for a friend of mine who runs an aerial hoops class in Leeds. More photos to come from the main shoot but a sneak preview of some of the action with the fabulous Robyn.
If you want to find out more about the class head to leedsaerialarts.co.uk – opportunities for all abilities to get involved.
Yesterday was the Spring Fair at the Donkey Sanctuary in north Leeds. If you’re interested in finding out more about the work they do helping both donkeys and children and young adults with additional needs, you can click here.
I was delighted as ever to help out with their photography. Here are a selection of images from the day. If you’re keen for more donkeys you can see the full set on my flickr page!
If you’re interested in chatting about how I can work with you to capture your event just get in touch!
I was delighted to shoot this week for the launch of a wonderful new cook book/ all round adventure in food, The Saffron Tales. The venue was Proud East in Hackney and the evening was kicked off with a discussion between Yasmin & Diana Henry. You can find out more about the book and fabulous author, Yasmin Khan here (The Saffron Tales). Here are a few selected images from the night.
Feel free to get in touch if you’re interested in knowing more about my work, I’m always happy to chat!
Taken a while to edit these but then given the snow we had in Yorkshire today I could have pretended I was really efficient! A selection of a few shots I took on a recent trip to the amazing Roundhay Park in north Leeds with a wonderful family.
It’s easy to shoot pics when there’s this much fun being had – just needed to avoid snow on the lens!
Do get in touch if you want to chat about capturing some shots of your world…I can’t promise the snow but I guarantee smiles…
